In the Modern Languages Department we aim to provide a vibrant and stimulating environment in which our pupils can learn both French and Spanish. They are offered the opportunity to visit France and Spain where they can put their language skills to the test. Many of our brightest pupils achieve resounding success at all levels of public examinations and go on to study languages at universities throughout the UK and Ireland.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts

Performing Arts is a growth industry in Northern Ireland. This course gives students opportunities to research and gain insights into the industry, engage with effective practice and prepare for employment, further training and/or study. The specification offers a wide range of skills in both performance and production. The teacher acts as facilitator in helping students develop their chosen skills within a prescribed discipline chosen from; dance, drama, music, choreography, design, direction, stage management or technical (lighting or sound). Performing Arts is an applied qualification in which students develop knowledge, understanding and skills through practical demonstration.
